The road went past some ruins that had been abandoned by the town people some 100 years ago and it followed the river gorge for 10 km on its way down to the Amazon. Oh well, I guess we don’t have much to worry about since today is the end of the world on May 21st of 2011.

Bob had agreed to finish the coastal area while Seth and I headed to College Point to see if anything was around the long-abandoned Flushing Airport. We would have liked to watch it longer but we had to get moving to cover some other areas not normally covered by the coastal crew.

Walk to a small abandoned farm and keep on along the track, crossing a small canal via a small bridge (don’t worry about the gate) just after the farm.
