Birds are gorging themselves for their imminent odysseys, while humans frantically expend themselves in the drive for as much summer fun as possible before Labor Day. Wow, wouldn’t you love to go camping in Windjana Gorge like Clare Morton did? The second weekend of August is marked, at least in these parts, by hysteria.

But when on June 23, 2013 I decided to follow a road just to see where it led, and it led to Pino Real, it was the first in a whole chain of exciting site discoveries. Plus, you can never have too many Red-headed Tanagers !
