My 2013 Birding Year in Review (With My Top Ten Birding Moments!)

In 2013 I birded in two countries, submitted eBird checklists for seven U.S. At the beginning of the year I said the following about my goals for the year’s birding: I start 2013 with 297 birds on my Queens Life List , 500 birds on my ABA Life List , and 1,096 birds on my World Life List. You will not be disappointed.

What will you do this weekend to improve your 2013 year list? You knew that’s what I was talking about, right?). Some folks will go to extraordinary lengths to cross off everything on their sizable lists. How about you? Jamaica Birding Trip 2013 Part 1

Day Two: On the second day, I got off to an early start at Ecclesdown Road in the northeast corner of the island, flushing a Crested Quail-Dove right near the beginning. Like magic, a dark bird flew into a tall tree right beside the road. Intermittent heavy showers made birding with any consistency difficult at first.

Best Bird of the Year 2013
