Arriving in Singapore we soon collected our bags and got ourselves a NETS card for travel on public transport and to also use in supermarkets. The train system is fast and efficient and was our primary mode of transport. Looking online we discovered there was one previous record for Singapore in January 2013.

Our first delay was one of the many iron ore trains that transport the ore to the coast from inland. Although our birding was very limited during our short visit we were able to add 21 new species to our 2013 year list and we did see 72 bird species. Waiting for a long train!
