I visited Hong Kong from February 20-27, 2014. And even though transportation is so easy and inexpensive, prepare to walk a lot. I read that the Peak was a great place for thrushes in winter; experience proved the veracity of that observation, but you’ll need to examine the underbrush closely. Lots and lots of birds!

So, all this makes birding this place an occasionally less than pleasant experience. Hemoglobin is a key molecule in transporting oxygen from the lungs to the individual cells requiring it for their metabolism. However, it is still worth it, if only for the parrotbills, four of which I encountered here within a few hours.
