The fact that Mexico recently abandoned daylight saving time has made this problem more serious.) As so often happens when I go birding, I was adopted by a couple of local dogs. A brief mixed flock experience included this Grace’s Warbler , which is one of our relatively few resident warblers down here.

The thrill of the “chase”, the hope of a fleeting glimpse, and the joy of finally seeing the bird you’ve longed to encounter and photograph are experiences that can make birding a rewarding pass time. The pair was industriously hollowing out a nest in an old abandoned ant nest on the branch of a Mango tree.

I can speak from experience that this place should only be accessed by a 4 x 4 vehicle. This forced us to abandon the vehicle and walk the 15 miles to the nearest village where a bush-mechanic walked back with us at night to our vehicle and temporarily patched the hole.
