Every spring they totally steal the show in the northeast and you really can’t blame birders for abandoning their jobs, their families, and their sanity as they rush to New York City’s abundant and amazing parks to see the show live and in technicolor. Kentucky Warbler. And, of course, the wood-warblers. Hooded Warbler.

Crow, a Scottish chemist-physician who settled in Frankfort, Kentucky in the 1820s. Old Crow’s parent company was sold to Jim Beam in 1987 and the new owners abandoned the Old Crow distillery and whichever version of the “original” recipe was being followed at the time. Certainly, the whiskey isn’t what it once was.
