On the Fence

10,000 Birds

With an election coming up I thought I would present this collection of strictly non-political, indecisive birds, who are on the fence about a variety of issues. Suburban Roadrunners of Southern Missouri

10,000 Birds

Snipe and not Snipe

10,000 Birds

The trick is to see the bird before you get too close. The easiest way to eliminate the Common Snipe is by noting the white trailing edge to the secondaries, but since this is not always conspicuous, it is not reliable if you fail to spot it on a fast moving, zig-zagging bird. Two male-plumaged birds were seen in this paddy.
