He was always immaculately groomed with an AKC show cut. Then I noticed that several family members were also nursing bleeding wounds. I didn’t have high hopes for Fizzle’s survival, but I called animal control and learned that they had taken Fizzle to a shelter about ten miles away. Fizzle didn’t bark. I swore and jumped back.
