Endless notifications about 3% of intact forest remaining here, another species falling into the endangeredspecies category – it all can get overwhelming sometimes. Alas, nothing showed until there was a brief break in the shower and a Golden-crowned Warbler materialized in the leaf litter just in front of me.
Birds included common species such as Black Drongos , Jungle Babblers and a Hoopoe. Among teak and bamboo thickets, a winding forest road takes us deeper into the enchanted Snake Jungle, but alas, not a Tiger in sight. Nitin will stay for a few more days and get his close-ups of Tigers.)
Alas, the bird had flown. Known to breed only in the mountains of Reunion Island, this endangeredspecies was only sighted for the first time off the coast of Africa a few years ago, and records of them are few, however we found no less than 6 individuals and I managed to photograph this one in all its glory. Tragic, right?
