PETA has launched a spoof site for the Vancouver Olympic Games over seal hunting. I criticize PETA a lot, but in this case I think they are right on the money. Whether it's dumping raw sewage out of Victoria BC into Puget Sound, to their lenient treatment in animal abuse cases, I just don't agree with some of the policies they have.

Bottom line: If you’re running a business where you allow the kinds of shortcuts that let animal abuse happen, please sell it and leave the industry now. Overlooked this one. So why is one type of animal cruelty (dogfighting) more reprehensible than another (lobster-boiling)? If you are a non-meat-eating, non-leather-wearing, non-shampoo-using, animal-rights activist for PETA, then it is not hypocritical to judge Vick for animal abuse. I think we have it backward.

These poor animals are literally running for their lives and we must do everything we can to educate people about their suffering and exploitation and work towards ending this horribly cruel activity because many people out there just don't know any different, so we must be the greyhound's best advocate and use our voice for theirs.
