The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) announced today it has launched a one-year national animal research education campaign. Since 2004, public support for humane animal research to advance human and animal health has fallen 10 points.

These chimps are currently at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s New Iberia Research Center. This is the same place that was nailed by a Humane Society undercover investigation. For Engber, who dispassionately describes procedures most of the time, the "advances" in the medical care of humans are all well worth what he and other vivisectionists do to dogs and other sentient nonhumans.
