I believe that we have to be inclusive in the animalrightsmovement and attack the system using all kinds of methods in all sorts of fields. I do think that there is a real elitism in the movement, however. This post is inspired by a thought-provoking piece on the Provoked blog (clearly a good name for a blog!)
I not only learned about Harvey Milk, but about the early stages of the gay rightsmovement (which is ongoing today when one looks at all the right-wing flutterings over gay marriage.) It made me think though about the animalrightsmovement. Are we really a social movement like gay rights and civil rights?
