From Alex: “A friend came to me yesterday who had saved a puppy off the street (see photo). I volunteer for a local animal rescue so I took the dog off her hands, but since this dog hasn’t had medical care, he can’t yet be housed in a shelter as it could put both him and the other animals at risk.

At an NYC puppy shelter a few weeks ago, my mind was just about made up when I met Chester – The cutest Lab puppy I’d ever seen. And after vet upon vet, and drug upon drug (and also some acupuncture and chiropractic), we had to take him to Orlando (3 hours north) for an MRI. He isn't aware of the limitations of his build and thinks, for instance, that he has the agility of the golden lab puppy he plays with (or the adult goldens he plays with).
