The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) announced its annual list of top toxins for pets. Recreational drugs, such as marijuana, mushrooms, and cocaine landed on the list for the first time.

I have a very easy way for you to help the ASPCA today! If you are on Facebook, all you have to do is “like&# the Mr. Chewy Facebook page and when they reach 10,000 likes they are going to donate $10,000 to the ASPCA! Mr. Chewy is a shopping site for pet owners offering pet food, treats and more.

The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Joplin Humane Society successfully found permanent homes for 745 pets during its weekend adopt-a-thon event on June 25 and 26. It makes me so happy to know that so many pet lovers wanted to help find these animals homes!
