The Collared-doves were introduced to the Bahamas in the 1970s, and from there apparently leapfrogged to the U.S.

Tommy Thompson Park Bird Research Station in Toronto had an extremely rare and beautiful Townsend’s Warbler x Black-throated Gray Warbler which was banded in April. And, while friends have told that me that I can go to the Bahamas and easily see the warbler in January, it turns out that is not true, the bird is elusive in its winter habitat as well (which is not Jack Pine, by the way). Fish and Wildlife Service endangered species list. Now there are volunteer guides, tours and a local festival.
