As I am already familiar with CL Companion, ELs and NLs, as well as the ATS/STX scopes, now I had a chance to try those toys I am not familiar with, such as hunting EL Range binoculars with built-in electronics telling the user the distance and an azimuth angle (interesting, but I still prefer my binoculars without batteries).

Head for the sea only when you fully recharge your batteries. Other species of interest include the southernmost breeding population of Greylag Goose in Europe, Goosander (at bigger and deeper Megali Prespa), Hazel Grouse (at Mt. One of the best areas to bird is the causeway between the two lakes.

And, sometimes, I use chip notes to try to lure a bird in, using just a couple of notes and only if I was sure it would not be interfering with a breeding bird or other birder’s enjoyment. Five results came back: Northern Cardinal , Red Crossbill , Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Scarlet Tanager , and Red-headed Woodpecker.

Apparently, when breeding, the two parents divide incubation duties, with one bird taking over the daytime duties and another one the nighttime. Caspar Georg Carl Reinwardt and picus , which means woodpecker, with the ti that connects the two parts possibly also having some kind of meaning. At between 4 pm and 6 pm, to be exact.

The reason for this particular camera is that I need a camera that takes AA batteries for when we are away from power for weeks on end and is not too large for travelling. There are Japanese made Eneloop Pro AA batteries that will last for over 1000 photos quite easily nowadays, so this is my ideal camera. Ringed Plover in Broome.

The Speckled Piculet is a budget version of a woodpecker, measuring only about 9 to 10.5 eBird describes the Speckled Piculet as a “tiny” woodpecker while Marco Rubio once stated that Donald Trump has “small hands” The photo below presumably shows a male bird given its rufous-orange to yellow forehead.
