10,000 Birds

One of the most majestic macaws is the Hyacinth Macaw ( Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus ), a brilliant blue South American bird that weighs in as the largest flying parrot in the world. Bird-Ranking: My favorite birds (as an amateur bird watcher)

10,000 Birds

As a little child, I´ve always liked watching birds fly around and imagined, what it would be like flying around on my own whenever I feel like it and not having to sit in an airplane full of nice people. The image below is from Cold Springs NWR.

Killing Birds in Cyprus – Fall 2011 Version

10,000 Birds

Summer is ending, and that means the birds are migrating again. If you’re a birder though, you had better have a police escort as some of my birder friends had to last week, while they went as part of an Important Bird Area data gathering group. And for the legal hunting, here’s the news from opening day.
