You’re not so keen on the idea of leaving your pets to your next-door neighbor. It sounds a bit over-the-top but a lot of people have experienced separation anxiety when they go for days without seeing their pets. Disneyland has a Kennel Club where you can board your pet for a day. That is one pet on vacation, I’ll say!

Little Black is in a large dog kennel, curled up in her litter box, going nowhere near her tasty, stinky canned food, and she will be returned tomorrow. The movement of the enormous birds' heads is very owl-like. I'm still not satisfied with the photo of her, and I might try again. Duffy cannot be in a home with a cat.
