Outside of Florida, there are also growing populations in Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Houston. Egyptian Goose sightings submitted to eBird in 2013-2014.

JFK Airport was a major hub for the importation of wildlife for the pet trade, and it is likely that birds escaped from quarantine during this period.
