In the course of our nearly weekly reviews here at Birds and Booze, we’ve come across an impressive variety in the depictions of birds on packages of beer, wine, cider, and spirits. Other times, the bird is an important cultural symbol, or a creature out of fable or myth – something with a good story behind it.
Of course, that is just my perspective and I have been known to think that birds that don’t show up until May are late if they aren’t here by mid-April. I tend to get angry when I have not seen the number of birds I think I should have and when I am angry I type fast and crazily. Besides, suffering brings birds, right?
I also loved the birds of paradise. We just pulled back, and we pulled back, and we pulled back, and ended with this tiny, tiny dot in the middle of the wide expanse of the Artic Ocean, and it was a very emotional moment for me.
