Besides founding 10,000 Birds and I and the Bird , Mike has also created a number of other entertaining sites and resources, particularly the Nature Blog Network. The number of bird species that have been recorded from Puerto Maldondo to the Tambopata ResearchCenter is around 620 species (all lowland elevations).
I thought I could stay with the group because she does give me fodder for the blog. Then I read more about what's happening at the New Iberia ResearchCenter in Louisiana. This has been a very difficult decision for me, because I have such good friends in the group. And like I said, I love the other people in it.
