The one major drawback to this book is actually an intended feature and not a glitch. Talk about a win-win!

The book is from 2005 called “Identify Yourself, The 50 Most Common Birding Identification Challenges”. Showing a huge amount of faith, I closed my eyes and opened the book. and the species name will appear.

This Masson book ( here are all of them) is for Benjy, who was supposed to be a service dog but who was, shall we say, less than enthusiastic about the career choice that was made for him.

The single resource for today’s quiz is a book I just purchased. It is not a new book, about 6 years old. Today we are looking at two species that can be difficult to separate under typical field conditions. I tried on a purist attitude and chose not to ID the species. Wing coloration while sitting will help.
