In 1806, Lewis and Clark saw condors near the Columbia River, which makes up much of the Washington-Oregon border. After years of study , FWS has proposed releasing captive-bred condors in Redwoods National Park in Northern California, not far from the Oregon border. The longer answer requires some background.

The Louisiana black bear’s threatened status warrants protection under sections 7 and 9 of the Endangered Species Act. This is an Urban Refuge !
