No, there is a second island named for Christmas, although it is more correctly known today as Kiritimati in the Republic of Kiribati in the Central Pacific. The Christmas Shearwater is a smallish, dark chocolate brown shearwater that lives and breeds in remote areas of the tropical eastern Pacific.
