Like manky mallards, ganky geese display remarkable variety due to both the methodical manipulations of breeders and the variable volatility of the more natural kind of breeding. Hat-tip to Stella. Feral geese run the gamut from pure white to almost entirely gray or brown. We certainly see enough of them, don’t we? Wicked, right?

While it’s no longer possible to see this regal macaw soar gracefully through the Brazilian skies, to be able to worship them—even from afar at one of the conservatories or zoos—would be a dream, at last, come true. Not to mention, its brilliantly bulbous crimson throat, bloated during breeding season must be a sight! Wicked, right?
