It only takes a little imagination to suppose that every bite of hamburger we eat is taking grain away from a hungry child in India. Nobody wants existing animals to be slaughtered. In 1974 we shipped four times as much food to Cambodia and South Vietnam as to starving Bangladesh and Swahelian Africa.
