Hal Herzog writes about how many people who say they are vegetarians will also say they ate meat within the last 24 hours. And of course, many self-identified vegetarians eat fishes and/or chickens. Then there's the instructional video sent in by a viewer teaching us how to make chicken cutlets.

One manager told PETA Eats that most people prefer the vegetarian lettuce wraps over those with chicken. Not only do they have vegan entrees, but they will substitute tofu for any meat in any dish, so you can eat just about anything on the menu! Everything else has chicken stock, oyster sauce or non-vegan sugar.

When he spends what seems like an eternity discussing cockfighting and the people who participate, mostly to set up the comparison to how the chickens we eat are treated and the lack of outrage over that, I respond, “What is wrong with you? The campaign to moralize meat has largely been a failure. You’re right, it is horrible!
