Dogs were seized at a Kennewick puppy mill with the help of the HSUS. From the HSUS press release: KENNEWICK, Wash. - Prosecutors are considering charges in connection with today's seizure against Ella Stewart, owner and operator of Sun Valley Kennel, who was recently charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.

Pretty savvy on HSUS' part? Tags: animal cruelty blood sport humane society Michael Vick sick. Plus, I personally have no room for forgiveness for Sick Vick. Others may, but I don't. What do you all think about his upcoming work for the Humane Society? Or are they trying to get publicity?

Benjamin is a major, recognized supporter of HSUS, a role he clearly lived up to at the Gala. He was also able to get Cathy Kangas of PRAI Cosmetics to match his Dog Rescue bid, raising an additional $25,000 for The HSUS Animal Rescue Team and helping to save 100 more animals. Gala, held at Cipriani in New York City.

However, both his perceptions and misconceptions are based on: 1) observing the work of PeTA and HSUS; and 2) the assumption that those two organizations are in the same category--"animal rights." If you can get through the article's pernicious nonsense, there are some salient points, albeit the result of confusion on the part of the author.

As reported in the AP story, two styles of Sean John jackets—one a hooded snorkel style, the other a classic version—were originally advertised as faux fur, but an investigation by the Humane Society of the United States [ HSUS ] found that the jackets were made from dog fur.
