Olive Sea Snake that has had a dog visit it on the beach Olive Sea Snake with obvious bulge Stoke’s Sea Snake Stoke’s Sea Snake with wounds Dubois’ Sea Snake Dubois’ Sea Snake being returned to the sea! These do lay eggs on land and are (reasonably) mobile once they hit the beach. I hope you enjoy these photos!

Less than a minute later, a very friendly black Labrador dog came ambling by. The Motmot never flew away, and as soon as the dog was out of sight, the tail stopped wagging. Their food consists of insects, small reptiles, and fruit. They lay 3-4 eggs, inside a nest that is located in the back of a tunnel, they dig in a bank.

Even better is a guide to mammals and reptiles, because snakes and lizards are pretty much up there with mammals when you’re exploring new territory. Tall grass, grass in burnt areas, leaves stems, small mammals, large mammals, invertebrates, birds, bird eggs, even hyena feces (that’s the Leopard Tortoise). Believe me, I tried.

And for rodents and reptiles as well. Dogs are similarly dispersed across size ranges, with Foxes, Coyotes, and Wolves taking prey across different parts of the size range. The birds, reptiles, and rodents they would kill would have been killed, in some cases, by something else, but by something that is supposed to be there.

Each year tens of thousands of these gulls go to the islands and each pair will lay three eggs. Most of these clutches of eggs will hatch to produce three fluffy and adorable chicks. By way of an example take the Western Gulls that I studied on the Farallon Islands in California.

Occasionally a chick will fall and be released back into the food chain by the alligators, but on the whole, the birds get a good deal providing that they build their nests beyond the jumping capability (as much as 5 feet as demonstrated in the “Jumperoo Show&# ) of the reptiles.
