They only had until March 5 because the apartment they were moving to would not allow dogs. My boss couldn't take the dogs because he already has a very needy dog, a cat and a new baby. Luckily, I have a coworker who volunteers with Seattle Purebred Rescue. Some rescuers think it's simply a dog-hater.

Puppy Mill Raids in Western Washington

We live in Seattle, which is part of King County. Up north are Snohomish County and Skagit County where two puppy mill raids have led to the rescue of almost 600 pregnant dogs, about 80 percent of whom are pregnant. (We And, of course, they are all "designer dogs." What a mess. Keeping abuse in the family!

So I'm from the New Appalachia?

And my husband thinks so too, and he's from Seattle. And there are towns where packs of dogs are roaming about and keeping people indoors. Lots of "guard dogs" outdoors for their entire lives, etc. We grow a great deal of vegetables and fruit for the world, but don't consume that much for ourselves.
