No dog is happier to be rescued. She put a dog bed outside with some food and water, and I’d see her checking on me about every five minutes. We dogs are wired by nature to be humans’ companions. From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. Dogs have died from hypoglycemia due to Vetsulin and there is a class action lawsuit. Like many people with diabetic dogs, I haven't had major problems with Vetsulin.

It started with donation requests for spay and neutering cats but then quickly transferred to a trap, neuter and release organization. I have a dog, cats (domestic and feral), birds raccoons, hawks, owls, coyotes, foxes, bunnies and mice…they all share the yard and the woods. I have mixed feelings about TNR.
