I’ve just returned from the Shetland Islands. You might be expecting me to start writing about the amazing colonies of Northern Gannets Morus bassanus or Atlantic Puffins Fratercula arctica , among others. But no, my story today is about the birds that come in to breed on the heather moorland which dominates the high ground. This is prime habitat for many birds and Shetland is a great place to see them in relatively pristine conditions.

Worried about rabid bats I went to my aunts house, and we had a cook out. When I was trying to get to my chair my back brushed up against on of the auguest lily plants. But it's like what if there was bat hanging out there and I didn't notice. What if nobody else was looking at the direction. Does this mean I'm f *d? What if there was a rabid bat that was hanging on the branch and i brushed up against and he started to hang on my shirt I did sit down within a minite or two after ward

My cat got attacked tonight but some wild animals and I'm not sure what. She doesn't have injuries luckily but she smells pretty strongly of something that smells like old human pee. I've done some searches online and haven't found anything so I thought it might be useful asking here I live in Northern New York in a rural area so it really could be about 100 different things I'm just curious what made this smell.

Not sure what to do with it, should I take it to a creak and leave him, or there's a little pond where people fish at my local dog park I could throw it there. where I got it is over a hour away so sadly that's not an option anytime soon. Anyone have any idea?

Reddit wont allow me to put a video so ill just describe it, it had 3 front legs on each side and also was using its round head to assist in movement, it also was kinda stumbling as it was every few minutes or so falling on its back, yet it didnt seem to be injured no holes where the backlegs would be. I really just want an idea on what it was.
