Chewy to open veterinary practices in Florida, Colorado

Chewy will be opening a handful of veterinary clinics in 2024, starting in South Florida and Denver. The company is launching the practices under the brand name “Chewy Vet Care,” which will offer services including routine appointments, urgent care, and surgery.

A winter miscellany

10,000 Birds

Though I find beauty in every season, winter isn’t my favourite time of the year. The days are too short, the weather often unpleasant, so when a sunny day comes along, I like to make the most of it. Yesterday was one of those all-too-rare sunny days, and though the temperature never reached double figures Centigrade, there was little or no wind, so it didn’t feel colder than it was.

The AVMA House of Delegates, during its regular winter session, being held January 5-6, 2024, in Chicago, will vote on six resolutions that would amend AVMA policies. These policies deal with noncommercial transportation of pets, management of dog and cat populations, and raw pet food diets, among other issues.
