Cat Tien National Park is a protected area approximately 150 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City, and on weekends, it seems to be quite an attraction for young upper-middle-class Vietnamese. The young ladies among them seem to be quite keen to practice their English on Western foreigners carrying heavy camera equipment, which is kind of flattering and makes for an enjoyable experience.

This man ( or woman idk about wood peckers man…) got hit by the car in front of me. The wildlife sanctuary/rehab is closed until tomorrow so I have a frickin woodpecker in my house until tomorrow morning. Had to make sure he’d be okay… he can walk. He can’t fly.

The wildlife sanctuary/rehab is closed until tomorrow so I have a frickin woodpecker in my house until tomorrow morning when they open :/. They told me to just leave him alone and thankfully I have an empty food grade pvc snake rack bin w lid to keep him in till tomorrow.

Is it fair to say a Periguin Falcon is faster than a Cheeteh? Like if I jumped out of a plane I would be faster than a Cheetah but that is just me falling using gravity.

I'll start! Sloths are simply called "lazy-animal" (dovendyr) in danish, and I just think it's an absolutely brilliant name for that animal.
