So there I was, with three birding buddies, in a rare outing to a site only on the very edge of Morelia’s urban area. We were looking at a beautifully flowering Coral Tree (Erythrina sp.) which had attracted lots of bird activity. One of these birds looked yellow, but with black beginning to develop behind its sharply pointed beak.

Update 10/13/24: Volunteers gathered outside an Aldi store in Dallas, Texas, using megaphones and a life-size gestation crate to take a stand for mother pigs. Flyers were handed out to shoppers, and a leaflet was given to the store manager to pass along to corporate leadership.
