There is a great new book called Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats , featuring photographs of both dogs and cats. In reality, this is a book for the dog (and cat) lover! It’s not only humorous, but informational too, including some fun facts about both dogs and cats. The photos alone are worth looking at when you need a smile. The book is an amazing collaboration between New York Times best selling author Bradley Trevor Greive and award-winning photographer Rachael Hale.

Baby the Maltese recently got the chance to try out two great coco based products from CocoTherapy , and she has some to share with two lucky readers! She loves it! We let her try a chip, and also tried rubbing a bit of the oil on her ears, which are often irritated. The coconut oil is the only thing that she will actually come over to us to put on her ear, and it doesn’t hurt that she can also like a little from our fingers!

SeaWorld aquarist Jenny Albert covers up a “cold stunned” endangered green turtle to keep the animal warm at SeaWorld’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. The Arctic blast that has affected most of the country has forced more than two dozen green sea turtles to take shelter after being rescued January 6 from the Mosquito Lagoon by wildlife rangers. I received this from the Humane Society regarding a program to premiere January 25 on Animal Planet. It's the first episode ever of "Animal Planet Investigates: Dogfighting Exposed." Unfortunately, I don't get Animal Planet, but I'm pleased to see them running edgier programming. Many people may not think this is all that edgy, but I'm still happy to see it, especially when it's easy in television to stick with softball, happy shows.
