A slim majority of U.S. Supreme Court justices upheld the California ballot initiative Proposition 12 as constitutional, and that the state could establish its own rules on meat sold in the state, even if that means that products produced outside of the state must comply with the law. Full implementation begins at the beginning of next year.

This year, migration seems to have ended a bit earlier than in most previous years – not very surprising given that this was the hottest Shanghai May in the last 100 years, and at least some birds (such as American Robins – note that these are the fake robins of the US, they probably also claim that their name was stolen from them by the liberal press) follow isotherms on their migration ( source ).

Here in Broome we observe a good selection of ducks and the most prolific at the Broome Poo Ponds is usually the Plumed Whistling-Duck. One of our favourite ducks is the Pink-eared Duck. There are also Hardheads , Wandering Whistling-Ducks , Grey Teal , Australian Wood Ducks and the occasional influx of Freckled Ducks or an Australian Shoveler.
