The Cuckoo Cuculus canorus has a bad reputation because of its habit of laying its eggs on the nests of other birds, who then raise their young. But in south-west Europe there is a bird that kicks out the sitting tenants and takes over the nest altogether. The White-rumped Swift Apus caffer , a tropical African breeding species, was only discovered breeding in Europe in the 1960s.

For the second year a grackle has built a nest in my broken fart fan vent on my second floor. This time however they have been up there for what feels like forever. My plan was to replace the vent as soon as they leave. Problem is my hot tub is getting delivered next week which is to be installed right below the vent which would prevent me from getting up there.

Chronic wasting disease (CWD) continues to threaten deer and elk populations as it has been detected in free-ranging cervids in 34 states and four provinces and in captive cervid facilities in 19 states and three provinces. Most recently, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced May 7 that it had been detected in the state’s deer and elk.

I have a nest swallows with babies in my patio and one of the parents has unfortunately died. The dead parent is still in the nest next to the babies, should I remove it? I would use gloves of course. I'm worried about the bird rotting causing harm to the babies. The other parent is still tending to the nest and feeding the babies so I don't think I want to do anything with them.

i’m fully aware that zebra finches can have homosexual relationships. i had a female who’s male partner died and she has since mated and had eggs with another female finch in the cage. my mom read online that two women having eggs will eventually kill them so she’s put the two females with another male and female we own in hopes that they’ll bond with the male. this isn’t the case and the two females are being extremely aggressive and bullying the female and male pair. what to do?

For me, I don't understand why science/God created mice and rats. I see no reason why they should be alive and absolutely hope that they all burn in hell. Recently discovered I have a raccoon living in my backyard. Fine by me I don’t wanna kick him out, but he keeps pooping in the same spot on my deck. If I clean all the poop up that he left and put a shallow box in the same spot to make it easier to get rid of do you think it would work?
