California Assembly Bill 1399 passed the California Senate Appropriations Committee on September 1. The bill would allow a veterinarian-client-patient-relationship (VCPR) to be established remotely is making progress despite opposition from the California VMA (CVMA), AVMA and others. The next step is a vote on the state senate floor, which is scheduled for next week.

The population size of Storm’s Storkis frightfully small – according to Birdlife International, there are about 400 to 500 individuals, equating to about 260 to 330 mature birds.
