Especially when I compare it with the other cowbird present in central Mexico, the Brown-headed Cowbird. Instead, they lay their eggs in other species’ nests, and let those nest-making birds (often significantly smaller than the cowbirds) raise their young. In fact, this is not even a particularly large group.
