Platypus have bills, bats and bugs can fly, and reptiles lay eggs, but only birds have feathers. Feathers are the unique ingredient when it comes to birds.

And, I started daydreaming about encountering something a little different, maybe a Horned Frog, Ceratophrys cornuta, a large, squat green and brown frog of South America, with a wide mouth large enough to eat other frogs as well as reptiles. And then there was a Green Heron , not only showing us its nest, but also an egg. The reptiles in Parque Tomás Garrido were of the crocodilian variety. This species is relatively common in tropical Mexico, but I certainly never expected to see it nesting in an urban park. And yet, there it was. But what could I do?

Speaking of pregnant snakes, do sea snakes lay their eggs ashore like sea turtles or do they keep them internally until the young are ready to hatch/ be born, like some sharks? These do lay eggs on land and are (reasonably) mobile once they hit the beach. Get yours today! It seems like there is great diversity in this continent.

Their food consists of insects, small reptiles, and fruit. They lay 3-4 eggs, inside a nest that is located in the back of a tunnel, they dig in a bank. These tunnels have been found in some cases, up to 14 feet deep.
