10,000 Birds
SEPTEMBER 15, 2014
This tiny passerine winters in Africa, places like Tanzania, Nigeria, Somalia. Nests are usually made in a sheltered cleft in rocks. Anywhere from 3-8 very pale blue eggs are laid, incubated by both parents. Five nestlings crowd this nest, well back in a cleft in the rocks, sheltered and hidden. Both sexes feed the young.
