How ridiculous is it that " On the Psychological Continuum ," to say nothing of an article against rabbit fur, is on the same page as Gabriella's Fur Den? Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics Gray Matters. So this was in my e-mail box this morning. The ads I see today have nothing to do with animal cruelty--the opposite is true.

This means that between mealtimes I will not consume animal products, use products tested on animals, attend a rodeo or polo match, go to Seaworld, wear leather, silk or wool, or drop any toxic substances into the eyes of rabbits who are clamped down (or even not clamped down, which is far more humane and acceptable).

Niman’s argument amounts to lowering an ethical standard to fit the demands of our meat-centric culture and Western privilege.

She has clearly decided that for her baiting is not away to get a photo, and if one does get a photo that way then the ethical thing to do is to state that, much as one should do with captive animals. One wouldn’t tether a rabbit out to get a shot of a fox or a coyote, or is that somehow different? My own take on that mirrors it.

Yes, of course it is too bad that so many animals (most often rats, mice and rabbits) have to be killed. It seems that these people, who purport to claim to care so much about animals, are completely ignorant of the existence of any animal life beyond horses, cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys. The logic of this is ridiculous.

The island was being ravaged by rabbits that were destroying every last tree, threatening the future of three lizards and two snakes. Animal rights groups sued to prevent poison being used to kill the rabbits, and even told a mediator that they would rather every reptile on the island die than a single rabbit be killed.
