When taking the issue to simplest common denominator, spaying/neutering is essentially exercising human dominance over non-human animals. But my stance is also categorized under Gray Matters because, in my perfect world, we wouldn't be spaying or neutering anybody. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics Gray Matters.

They will spay/neuter, vaccinate, tip ears and microchip , and they do not test. The cats are getting harder to trap, and I think even if I finally were able to get the spay RV from up north I don't see how I could trap 30 cats in a day at this point no matter how many people volunteer to help. What's in Pahokee you ask?

Regarding Adam's comment yesterday about low-cost spay/neuter, the reason this particular one is low-cost is that it is subsidized by the county and city (and maybe State, I'm not sure). Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics.

There is a Spay-Around-the-Clock coming up, and I'm signing up to volunteer. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. And last night, a veterinary surgeon-friend of mine asked for help regarding ferals, and I believe today we are signing up a colony about five miles from me with 50 (!) cats, many of whom are pregnant.

I'd rather trap a feral cat and have her spayed. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics Language. Maybe sugar processed with bone char isn't worth boycotting a restaurant over. Maybe it is. Arguing about that line with other vegans, though, doesn't interest me. But enough of that, where do you stand on the sugar/restaurant issue?
