Here is an article about the high cost of vet care and the ethical questions of how much do you spend. Do you ask the vet to euthanize the animal? I measure our cat Charlotte (pictured above in the masthead) in 42" HDTV's. She's at about 3 at the moment. Maybe 4 with all the meds and followup visits.

We have a request, and it's an issue I've written about a handful of times but never had this particular question answered by readers: How do you talk with your vet--who is against feeding your dog vegan food--about your choice to do so? I'm fortunate to have a regular (non-specialist) vet who has no problem at all with a vegan diet for dogs.

The woman from the coalition knows and respects the vets at Pahokee, which of course isn't as good as my own vet being on the case, but I'm sure it'll all work out fine. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. She has brought over a dozen cats there in just two weeks, 11 of whom were pregnant. Can you imagine?

You may recall that when I took him to the vet (and at that time I thought he was a she) I asked them to check him out and they said he looked fine. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. He didn't look at all comfortable. And if he looked fine he wouldn't have been tested. cats, many of whom are pregnant.

The vet confirmed pain, injury and infection from her life on the streets, common afflictions for stray cats. With all of her photos, she follows NANPA ethical guidelines, putting the welfare of birds and other wild animals ahead of any image. . With respect to the stray cat Puck, we eventually learned her name was Jackie.

I somehow became the non-vet, go-to person regarding dogs and diabetes, I suppose due to my frequent blogging about Violet Rays (left), my greyhound who has been through diabetes, blindness (then cataract replacement), glaucoma and retina detachment. My vet's other clients, however, often had the opposite problem, and hypoglycemia resulted.
