I'm a dues-paying member of both groups but, while I support euthanasia when it is CLEARLY an act of mercy, I come down pretty hard on Best Friends' side here. And the dogs deserve a happy life after all the suffering they have been through (two of them have already been adopted.)

Choosing to adopt a dog rather than get one at the pet store (or what some like to refer to as “puppy mill”) is a beautiful thing—essentially you are saving a poor pup from euthanasia and you’re providing a an animal with a good home. New allergies develop over time for most allergy-suffers. Or be opened to moving.
