About a year ago I posted information about the launch of a new stem cell therapy for dogs ( Vet-Stem ). Since the launch Vet-Stem has treated more that 1800 dogs and more than 5,000 animals total. This too is good news for pet owners whose only options previously were either an expensive and invasive surgery or euthanasia.

The bird was stripped of feathers and so badly battered that euthanasia was probable. The vet confirmed pain, injury and infection from her life on the streets, common afflictions for stray cats. A year later, in a new city and at a new wildlife hospital, I got my official volunteer apron and badge.
