Gray-necked Picathartes foraging in leaf-litter on the forest floor in Korup National Park, Cameroon. It occurs from south-west Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea (both mainland and on the island of Bioko), Cameroon and Gabon. It has recently also been discovered nesting in rainforests of the Sangha area of Central African Republic (CAR).
