Galápagos: A Natural History, Second Edition by John Kricher and Kevin Loughlin gives the traveling naturalist the tools needed to fully appreciate and experience the Galápagos Islands. I wish I had read this book. They complement Kricher’s text., I also think there are chapters where the photographs crowd out the text.

I searched the entire northern end of the park, including the golf course, the reflecting pool, the open water by Porpoise Bridge, and every open grassy spot I could find. After all, birding under a highway is not exactly my idea of a pleasant experience. After all, I had to suffer through it, why shouldn’t you?
